Grapey cartomizer IQOS in Suva: the order shortlist
Grapey in Suva: 13 units tested over 5 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Coil life, liquid cost and the grapey habit
Grapey in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Grapey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.88 per 10 ml.
Below is the run we did for this search: 13 units, cartomizer, same room temperature, same juice rotation. Where results varied, the variation is printed rather than averaged away.
What a grapey cartomizer really costs in Suva
Grapey prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.88 per 10 ml.
How we tested grapey in a cartomizer
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a cartomizer arrives sealed but wrong.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Coil type inside the cartomizer, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- Spare parts availability for cartomizer in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
Where grapey goes wrong
- Treating the advertised FJ$55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.88 per 10 ml.
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Fiji accept nicotine freight.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Fiji need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
