Tropical pen device IQOS in Suva: the compare shortlist
Tropical in Suva: 19 units tested over 7 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
What the label on Tropical is allowed to say
The honest read on tropical: 19 units through the same routine over 7 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
We run tropical the same way in Suva: same pen device, same 7 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
The short version: tropical in Suva works if the pen device, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a tropical pen device really costs in Suva
Tropical pen device reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 19 units and 7 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested tropical in a pen device
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pen device arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tropical goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pen device and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Mixing tropical with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Chasing a discount on a pen device that then needs an adapter nobody in Fiji stocks.

Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On tropical the budget price and the premium price can sit within FJ$2.6 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
