Tobacco mesh tank IQOS in Suva: the review shortlist
Tobacco in Suva: 24 units tested over 6 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Choosing a mesh tank for tobacco
Tobacco sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
Tobacco sounds like one product. It is not: a mesh tank running varies will taste nothing like the same blend on a different device, which is why we test before we recommend.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco mesh tank really costs in Suva
Tobacco in a mesh tank is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested tobacco in a mesh tank
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the mesh tank that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every tobacco bottle shipped into Fiji.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a mesh tank arrives sealed but wrong.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Mixing tobacco with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised FJ$39 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.89 per 10 ml.
