Tobacco mesh tank IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Tobacco in Suva: 7 units tested over 9 weeks, mesh tank formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Stock, batch codes and the dispatch window
There is no single best way to buy IQOS in Fiji. There is only the batch that arrived, the coil that came with it, and whether the shop tracks the production run.
Tobacco prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$3.26 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the mesh tank you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco mesh tank really costs in Suva
The honest read on tobacco: 7 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested tobacco in a mesh tank
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for mesh tank in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
- Coil type inside the mesh tank, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why tobacco tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest mesh tank available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
