Tobacco box mod IQOS in Suva: the compare shortlist
Tobacco in Suva: 12 units tested over 9 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Where buyers go wrong with tobacco in Fiji
A tobacco box mod from the compared options in Fiji costs about FJ$2.76 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
We run tobacco the same way in Suva: same box mod, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long tobacco tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a tobacco box mod really costs in Suva
Tobacco in a box mod is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested tobacco in a box mod
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
- Batch code and production date, so a tobacco bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where tobacco goes wrong
- Treating the advertised FJ$45 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.76 per 10 ml.
- Mixing tobacco with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Fiji need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
