Sweet pen device IQOS in Suva: the cheap shortlist
Sweet in Suva: 10 units tested over 2 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
Coil life, liquid cost and the sweet habit
We run sweet the same way in Suva: same pen device, same 2 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Sweet in a pen device is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long sweet tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sweet pen device really costs in Suva
A sweet pen device from the cheapest options in Fiji costs about FJ$2.39 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
How we tested sweet in a pen device
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Stock depth: 10 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sweet bottle shipped into Fiji.
- Spare parts availability for pen device in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
Where sweet goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Fiji accept nicotine freight.
- Mixing sweet with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sweet tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for sweet in Fiji must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
