Spiced pod kit IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Spiced in Suva: 9 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
What spiced costs in Suva
We run spiced the same way in Suva: same pod kit, same 9 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
Spiced prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$1.9 per 10 ml.
The short version: spiced in Suva works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a spiced pod kit really costs in Suva
Spiced in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested spiced in a pod kit
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every spiced bottle shipped into Fiji.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Batch code and production date, so a spiced bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where spiced goes wrong
- Ignoring the batch date on a pod kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why spiced tastes flat after two days.
- Treating the advertised FJ$51 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$1.9 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Wholesale lines to Fiji need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
Packaging for spiced in Fiji must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
