Sour pod kit IQOS in Suva: the deals shortlist
Sour in Suva: 9 units tested over 4 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
What sour costs in Suva
Sour in Suva reaches the shelf in pod kit formats, and the discounted ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
Sour prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.72 per 10 ml.
The short version: sour in Suva works if the pod kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a sour pod kit really costs in Suva
We run sour the same way in Suva: same pod kit, same 4 days, same coil resistance. The only variable was the coil, and that turned out to be the thing buyers get wrong.
How we tested sour in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Batch code and production date, so a sour bottle turned in 4 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
Where sour goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why sour tastes flat after two days.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
The rules that apply here
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework. Shipping of nicotine to Fiji runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Packaging for sour in Fiji must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
