Sour pen device IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Sour in Suva: 7 units tested over 9 weeks, pen device formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
How we tested Sour pen device here
A sour pen device from the budget options in Fiji costs about FJ$2.04 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
Sour in Suva reaches the shelf in pen device formats, and the budget ones are rarely the ones that stay in stock. Availability, not taste, is what breaks an order.
If you only read one line: the pen device you buy decides how long sour tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a sour pen device really costs in Suva
The honest read on sour: 7 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested sour in a pen device
- Pick the pen device that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Coil type inside the pen device, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
- Stock depth: 7 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every sour bottle shipped into Fiji.
Where sour goes wrong
- Treating the advertised FJ$48 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.04 per 10 ml.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.
- Mixing sour with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
