Salted box mod IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Salted in Suva: 24 units tested over 3 weeks, box mod formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
How to tell a good box mod from a repack
Salted prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$3.24 per 10 ml.
The honest read on salted: 24 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the box mod you buy decides how long salted tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a salted box mod really costs in Suva
The honest read on salted: 24 units through the same routine over 3 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
How we tested salted in a box mod
- Pick the box mod that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Spare parts availability for box mod in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
- Stock depth: 24 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Batch code and production date, so a salted bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Coil type inside the box mod, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where salted goes wrong
- Ordering in bulk without checking whether couriers in Fiji accept nicotine freight.
- Buying the cheapest box mod available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised FJ$67 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$3.24 per 10 ml.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Wholesale lines to Fiji need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.
