Plain refill pack IQOS in Suva: the flat shortlist
Plain in Suva: 9 units tested over 9 weeks, refill pack formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
How we tested Plain refill pack here
If you are looking at plain in Fiji, the first question is not strength. It is whether the refill pack you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
A plain refill pack from the flat-rate options in Fiji costs about FJ$2.82 per 10 ml once delivery is counted. That number decides whether the habit survives the first month, not the sticker price.
The short version: plain in Suva works if the refill pack, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a plain refill pack really costs in Suva
Plain prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.82 per 10 ml.
How we tested plain in a refill pack
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a refill pack arrives sealed but wrong.
- Child-resistant cap and tamper band on every plain bottle shipped into Fiji.
- Coil type inside the refill pack, because mesh and wire age at different rates.
Where plain goes wrong
- Skipping the spare coil, which is the single part that decides how long plain in Suva survives.
- Mixing plain with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Assuming varies is uniform across brands, because two suppliers can label the same number differently.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a refill pack cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Suva: about FJ$2.82 per 10 ml liquid plus FJ$60 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
How long does plain in a refill pack last?
In Suva we measured 9 to 9 days per unit depending on the coil. The bottle outlasts the coil, so the coil is what you replace.
Why does plain taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the refill pack units we ran, a coil past 5 days turned the plain blend itself harsh.
