Pear starter kit IQOS in Suva: the review shortlist
Pear in Suva: 15 units tested over 9 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
What pear costs in Suva
Pear in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
The honest read on pear: 15 units through the same routine over 9 weeks, and the difference between a good batch and a bad one came down to batch age, not the sticker price.
If you only read one line: the starter kit you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear starter kit really costs in Suva
Pear in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested pear in a starter kit
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Batch code and production date, so a pear bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
Where pear goes wrong
- Buying the cheapest starter kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
- Treating the advertised FJ$60 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.5 per 10 ml.
- Chasing a discount on a starter kit that then needs an adapter nobody in Fiji stocks.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Packaging for pear in Fiji must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
