Pear pod kit IQOS in Suva: the compare shortlist
Pear in Suva: 9 units tested over 9 weeks, pod kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
How we tested Pear pod kit here
Pear in a pod kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Pear prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$2.97 per 10 ml.
If you only read one line: the pod kit you buy decides how long pear tastes right, and the coil inside it decides how long that is.
What a pear pod kit really costs in Suva
Pear pod kit reviews tend to be written after one tank. We run 9 units and 9 days per unit, because that is where the honest answer changes.
How we tested pear in a pod kit
- Pick the pod kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- The listed nicotine ceiling, which is the local legal limit in Fiji, not a suggestion.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a pod kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
Where pear goes wrong
- Mixing pear with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why pear tastes flat after two days.
- Buying the cheapest pod kit available and repeating it because the first coil burnt.
The rules that apply here
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework. Shipping of nicotine to Fiji runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
