Mint starter kit IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Mint in Suva: 11 units tested over 3 weeks, starter kit formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
What the label on Mint is allowed to say
If you are looking at mint in Fiji, the first question is not strength. It is whether the starter kit you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
Mint prices move with import duty more than with brand. In Suva that means the entry option and the premium option can close to within FJ$3.02 per 10 ml.
The short version: mint in Suva works if the starter kit, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a mint starter kit really costs in Suva
Mint in a starter kit is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
How we tested mint in a starter kit
- Pick the starter kit that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Settle the draw first: mouth-to-lung or direct-to-lung, because it decides the coil and the liquid.
- Returns window and who pays return postage when a starter kit arrives sealed but wrong.
- A dated dispatch promise: before 14:00 same day, tracked, so no order is held to a warehouse cut-off.
- Spare parts availability for starter kit in Fiji, since tanks and pods go first.
- Batch code and production date, so a mint bottle turned in 3 weeks ago is not sold as new.
Where mint goes wrong
- Mixing mint with a coil rated for a different wattage, which dulls the flavour and drains liquid faster.
- Ignoring the batch date on a starter kit and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why mint tastes flat after two days.
The rules that apply here
Fiji restricts imports of nicotine products under its customs framework. Shipping of nicotine to Fiji runs through tracked freight only, which is why the quoted window is stated per order.
Retail sales in Fiji sit under the same nicotine the label declares, which is the local legal limit. Anything above it is not sold through this channel.
