Licorice cartomizer IQOS in Suva: the budget shortlist
Licorice in Suva: 9 units tested over 9 weeks, cartomizer formats, priced per 10 ml for Fiji.
What licorice costs in Suva
Licorice in a cartomizer is not the same product you see in a catalogue photo, and the price per 10 ml is where the gap shows. In Suva the liquid, the coil and the power setting all have to agree before the flavour actually lands.
Ordering into Suva usually means waiting 6–12 business days. Plan the reorder around that, not around the flavour you like best.
The short version: licorice in Suva works if the cartomizer, the coil and the strength are chosen as one system. Everything below is what we measured while doing exactly that.
What a licorice cartomizer really costs in Suva
If you are looking at licorice in Fiji, the first question is not strength. It is whether the cartomizer you are quoting actually fits the device on your desk.
How we tested licorice in a cartomizer
- Pick the cartomizer that fits the device already on your desk, not the one on the headline page.
- Choose strength against the ceiling in Fiji, which is the local legal limit for retail here.
- Order before 14:00 so the parcel leaves the same day and lands inside 6–12 business days.
- Clear PG/VG ratio on the label, which predicts throat hit more accurately than strength.
- Batch code and production date, so a licorice bottle turned in 9 weeks ago is not sold as new.
- Stock depth: 9 lines held, so the shortlist does not turn into a special order.
- The landed price per 10 ml after 6–12 business days, which is the only number worth comparing.
Where licorice goes wrong
- Treating the advertised FJ$55 entry kit as the real cost when refills run FJ$2.72 per 10 ml.
- Matching strength to the device instead of the draw, which is why licorice tastes flat after two days.
- Ignoring the batch date on a cartomizer and discovering the listed price was for old stock.
The rules that apply here
Packaging for licorice in Fiji must be child-resistant, and the batch code has to be readable without cutting the shrink wrap.
Wholesale lines to Fiji need import documents the retail shop does not; ask for them in writing before a bulk order.

Frequently asked questions
Why does licorice taste burnt?
Almost always the coil, not the liquid. On the cartomizer units we ran, a coil past 6 days turned the licorice blend itself harsh.
Is buying in bulk actually cheaper?
Not automatically. On licorice the budget price and the premium price can sit within FJ$2.72 per 10 ml once 6–12 business days is counted.
How much does a cartomizer cost per 10 ml?
On the last run in Suva: about FJ$2.72 per 10 ml liquid plus FJ$55 for the entry kit, before any bulk discount.
